Hey this looks tempting, however i was wondering, that if i put it on the pressure cooker.. how many whistles do i have to blow before gettin the expected results.. and again the difference in a gas range and electric range creates different level of heat.. so does the time vary accordingly?
ReplyDeleteYou are right, it does depend on a lot of factors, even the quantity of rice. But, if you have electric stove, use a pressure cooker, and are cooking for about 3 people, 7-8 whistles will be ok. The best way would be to heat one gas on maximum (6) heat and another on 3 heat. As soon as the whistles are done (on maximum heat), transfer it to a lower heat for 10 minutes and then take it off heat. Open the cooker only when it can be opened easily, without you having to blow off steam with a fork or something. :)
ReplyDeleteAlso.. in the past.. i have had some tough time with the pressure cooker.. coz of the water and the food ratio.. which i tend to usually mess up.. apart.. do you have any microwave dishes?
ReplyDeleteWell, generally, I put 2:1 water:rice ratio in pressure cooker. And so far, it has never failed me. I'll try some microwave dishes and put them up soon! :) Cheers!
